Acacias Art Center - "Reflections Redux" Exhibition

Acacias Art Center is pleased to present "Reflections Redux", an exceptional exhibition by Benjamin Millepied and Barbara Kruger that combines holographic projections, films and immersive scenography.

The event was inaugurated on the occasion of FIAC week 2017. Within Acacias Art Center, the impressive visual environment imagined by artist Barbara Kruger for her ballet "Reflections" (2013) was recreated for the occasion.

Invited to enter the Acacias Art Center, totally redesigned for the occasion, the visitor is plunged like a dancer into the heart of Barbara Kruger's scenography. The 3-dimensional reactivation of the ballet is complete: light effects, music and especially holographic projection of four scenes from "Reflections". The dancers of L.A. Dance Project dancers appeared in the form of holograms to realize key moments of the ballet within the exhibition.

Reiffers Art Initiatives - "Mark Handforth" Exhibition

Mark Handforth inaugurates the Acacias Art Center with new works specially designed for its new spaces.

From his studio in Miami, the heir of the Pop Art generation has worked on one of his signature twists on everyday objects and urban furniture.

Created in collaboration with curator Timothée Chaillou and in partnership with the New York gallery Gavin Brown, the exhibition proposes to explore the theme of light in the artist's work. Bridging Pop Art and Minimalism, the British artist occupies the space with monumental and luminous works that playfully divert everyday objects. Often interwoven with phosphorescent lights, his sculptures intersect with the lights of Paris rooftops visible under the glass roof of the Acacias Art Center.
